Abstract: The standards and curriculum for Me and My Surroundings consists of (a) teaching the subject and the ancillary materials; (b) educational goals; (c) minimum required content; (d) teaching methods and tips that elementary level teachers can use in the classrooms, requirements for student preparation (knowledge, skills, and abilities), and a description of the value system; (e) assessment and evaluation of learning outcomes; and (f) a list of related literature. The standards and curriculum were developed for elementary classrooms at the second- through the fourth-grade levels. The curriculum consists of such topics as me and the people around me; how I organize my life; security, health, nature, and the human being; and our motherland, society, and me.
