Abstract: The purpose of this document is to describe how the academic curriculum affected by the the educational reforms that took place in the 1990s defined the objectives and content related to citizenship training. The context and the basics of the reform curriculum are addressed first. The document then provides an explanation of the organization of the reform curriculum into subjects and grades, along with a concise description of the curriculum's content. The primary milestones in the evolution of the official academic civic education throughout the twentieth century will be systematized before completing this process.
