Abstract: The aim of the book is to provide a framework for civic education in human rights and democracy in order to promote good citizenship and good government in Malawi. Some of the topics included in the curricular framework are conflict resolution, social and moral issues, judicial functions in a democracy, and cultural and political changes in government and society due to Malawi's transition to a democratic government. Commissioned with funding from the European Community and Amnesty International, this book was dedicated to the youth of Malawi by the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Culture.
