Abstract: These standards are based on several core elements: (1) me and my world—knowledge of the family, human rights, school as an institution, the local community, and communication skills; (2) me as a citizen of the state—Bulgarian citizenship, national symbols, civic identity, and human rights; (3) me and the world—Bulgaria and Europe, Bulgaria in the Balkan peninsula, and Europe and the world; (4) the world of the adults—property and property rights and professions; and (5) defense of life in critical situations—safety on the road, dealing with emergency situations, and conflict resolution.
