Abstract: The manual, "Education for Democracy in Early Childhood," was written to be used by teaching personnel at the preschool level and in lower primary schools to work on basic values and attitudes of democratic societies such as integrity, communication, cooperation, tolerance, respect, and honesty. It consists of two parts. The first part provides basic theoretical ideas, such as democracy, the democratic environment, education for democracy, and how to provide a democratic environment in kindergarten and lower primary schools, especially in building democratic relations between the teacher and the student, as well as among students. The second part provides activities to be used for building different values and attitudes.
