Abstract: The purpose of the manual is to serve as a pedagogical tool and a resource for preschool teachers and other professionals who work with children in preschool institutions, as well as for parents who wish to assist their children in learning the issues of human rights, equality, and justice before they enter school. The incentive for development of the manual came from the seminars organized by the Institute for the Development of Education of the Croatian Ministry of Education and Sport in cooperation with the National Human Rights Education Committee and the Human Rights Education Associates from the United States. The basis for the development of the manual, as well as for teacher training in the implementation of the National Human Rights Education Programme, was the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The manual consists of the contributions of experts who participated in teacher training seminars, as well as original texts.
